The popular children’s book by DOSI scientists, is now available in Portuguese! Beautifully illustrated by Abigail Pattenden, the book considers the complex issue of deep-sea mining in an accessible and fun way. The Portuguese version was funded by REDEEM and CESAM and is available online. Printed copies will soon be available upon request.
Deep CCZ Biodiversity Synthesis Workshop
The REDEEM Project was invited to participate in workshop “Deep CCZ Biodiversity Synthesis Workshop” organized by the International Seabed Authority (ISA) and the Deep Clarion-Clipperton Zone (CCZ) Project (University of Hawaii) from 1 to 4 October 2019 in Friday Harbor, Washington, USA. Sven Laming presented our work on life-history traits and joined the working group on megafauna invertebrates. The report on the workshop is now available online.
